At last, after 5 days being jailed (no TV, newspaper and hand phone) in Ulu Sepri camp, i m back to civilizations….It was tiring and the period of 5 days was too much for me…I m going to share some of the moments with you guys here..
27 November 2008.
As early as 7.00 am, Jang sent me to UPM Serdang coz a friend (actually, I didn’t know this guy, all I knew, he is a UPM academic staff - just called him last week coz I need friend to travel there).. I’m the only representative from Bintulu…Just imagine, I need to go to the strange place with the strangers…ayoyoyo…lebih-lebih agi bujang pemalu rumah panjai baka aku…haha
There were two more UPM friends (2 ladies) traveled with us with a car full loaded with bags and boxes…..it was very convenience..it really was…hahaha..anyway, thanks zairul for a ride…don’t wary bout the “tambang” coz you can claim it…
A at last we reached the camp site. This camp looks great from outside. Looks green, clean and great atmosphere. After all, it is in the forest.... The minute we got there, our phone signal was gone…Maxis never follow you anywhere…ayoyoyo… it is only Celcom line works here..well, Celcom has a great Teritory…Nothing much happen on the very first day except knowing the fact that the facilitators will keep all the mobiles from the participants. No problem dear, you can take mine…Maxis line is not functioning anyway…keep it, buat macam harta sendiri..haha…Zairul and I accommodated room 10, D block (if am not mistaken)..at first I thought it was only us accommodate the room and guess what?....the room were shared with 20 more participants….my goshhhhh….the double-decker bed just remind me of staying at the hostel during the school days…well, belajar hidup susah bah..
In the afternoon, we were then form into groups. There were 7 groups out of 79 participants….Then, the facilitators briefed us the rules, introduced the song (forgot the lyric and even the melody) and the programmes for the next four days…..the first ceramah was at nite and as usual, I layan fishing (sleepy) from the start till the end of the ceramah…woke up only after I heard big hand….hehehe….well, the first ceramah done!...good job….tepuk2…
28 November 2008.
We had a total of 8 hours of talks for the whole day. huhuhu. Its fishing day..haleluya….hahaha…The first was about the education. It was interesting. Well done (no fishing activity was done during the speech). The second was on economy and finance. The speaker was so soft-spoken and the talk was like “macam dikejar hantu”…it was too fast and bored. I started scribbling my notepads and a friend sat next to me started draw the scenery of Ulu Sepri… Great drawing..then we started to chit-chat…the issues of the talk, please ask the girl who sat next to me..she was so concentrate on the issue…The third and fourth talks was on Politics and National Security....Sorry, I was in my “own world” during the talks….
29 November 2008
The third day, we were form into new group for LDK (Latihan Dalam Kumpulan) session. Each group is assigned two facilitators. We were discussing about Malaysia, Malay, Kontrak sosial, jus soli, perlembagaan Malaysia etc. Quite interesting but in my opinion, the two facilitators were seriously “syok sendiri” and some matters/discussions/talks given by them were super sensitive especially to non-malay/non-bumi. They should have given some respects to our non-bumis friends by censoring some issues in which I think very inappropriate to be discussed especially among the professionals (as some participant are Drs., PTDs, lecturers and ever lawyers).
30 November 2008.
Fourth day. Stayed in this camp for 4 days really felt that I’ve been in this deserted camp for more than 4 years..busannnn…LDK, LDK, LDK….Too much time allocated to LDK and the participants were listening to the lousy talks from two “syok sendiri” facilitators….urghhhhhh…bosannnnn… … The best part was only the “Riadah” a.k.a senaman session in the evening conducted by two super-friendly Pak (couldn’t remember the name)…
1 December 2008.
Yahoooooo…. Last day in this camp.... We were given the exam at 8.30 am and all were about general knowledge…I wonder, why they put so much time and efforts on ceramahs and LDKs as they were only contributed to 10-15% on the exam questions. What’s a waste!....
After the exam, we went for a juggle trekking. One of the most interesting activity throughout the whole course. Unfortunately, the hill wasn’t challenging enough as it just like a normal hill in Sarawak…Maybe yes for some participants who live in the big city…yeh..orang Bandar katakan….
I did enjoy the course, but of course NOT the talks and LDK sessions. Perhaps teenagers or politicians will enjoy the course. Makin umur nyau tuai, course baka tok baka ka muai masa aja….Enda nemu dini pemanah course baka tok…enti ka nanam semangat cintakan Negara (so called), bendanya enda ibuh di kursus2 laban ba penemu aku semua orang sigi sayau ke menua enda ngira dini alai sida ia…
